About Me
My earliest kitchen memories date back to when I was eight, playing sous chef for my mother. I would balance on tiptoes, hoping for a glimpse inside her sturdy aluminum pots. Whether I was slicing onions or washing rice, every task she assigned filled me with excitement.
Meals in my mother’s kitchen were a journey around the world. One night, we savoured a fragrant biryani; the next, a hearty Egyptian koshari. There were evenings of comforting lasagne, nostalgic nasi goreng inspired by our years in Malaysia, or Ghanaian tuo and ayoyo soup when we craved a feel-good meal. These diverse culinary adventures not only delighted our senses but also shaped my lifelong passion for food culture.
Years later, as a first-time mom, I launched my YouTube channel to share the recipes I grew up loving with my amazing community of “Indulgers.” This passion project led me to study at the William Angliss Institute and Le Cordon Bleu Melbourne, further fuelling my culinary education and creativity.
Today, I proudly call Ghana home—a place where pineapples taste incredible, the weather is beautiful, and the food is wholesome, delicious, and diverse. In Ghana, food, culture, and community go hand in hand, and I consider it a privilege to use my platform to celebrate Africa’s rich culinary heritage. Despite borders, language barriers, and the seas that separate us, our food always finds a way to bring us back together. I hope you love it here and that you welcome these recipes into your home.
